Don’t have a convection oven at home but still want to bake? Microwaveable mug cakes it is! This recipe takes literally 2 minutes to make, it’s 100% vegan and you can barely tell it’s a microwave cake. What are you waiting for?


1 serving of Heal Vanilla Almond
½ tsp baking powder
1 tbsp flour
1 tbsp sugar
6 tbsp soy/almond milk
¼ tsp vanilla extract
Almond nuts as toppings (optional)


  1. Grease a microwave-safe mug with olive oil. Add in the protein powder, baking powder, flour, sugar and mix well.
  2. Add your milk of choice and vanilla extract. If the batter is too crumbly, continue adding more milk until a very thick batter is formed.
  3. Top with almond nuts (or any topping of your choice) and microwave for 60 seconds.

HOT TIP: Tip: Most manufactured glassware and mugs are microwave-safe as long as it doesn’t have any metal gilding. If you’re unsure whether or not your mug is microwave-safe, just fill it with water and heat it for about 30 seconds. The water should be hotter than the mug. If the mug is hotter than the water, then it’s not microwave-safe.
